StepPet turns the walking you already do into something that looks after someone else. Your steps become points; points buy cat food and shampoo. Around 3,000 steps a day comfortably covers a cat's needs — no 10,000-step guilt trip, no streak to break.
The cat is real video, not a sprite sheet. It eats, washes, stretches and sleeps, and it reacts when you tap it.
No account. No servers. No analytics. Your step count never leaves your iPhone.
What it does
Steps become points
Every 100 steps earns 1 point, plus 20 points for opening the app each day. Miss a few days and nothing is lost — those steps still count when you return.
A pet in real video
Filmed footage rather than animation. Feeding, washing, stretching and sleeping each have their own clips, and it responds to your touch.
Care, not chores
Your pet gets hungry and dirty, but it never dies and never runs away. Walking more is rewarded; walking less is never punished.
Levels worth reaching
Save leftover points to raise your pet's level, unlocking a bigger savings cap. Every one of the 30 levels is genuinely reachable.

Privacy first
- Nothing is collected. No account, no analytics, no advertising or tracking SDKs.
- No networking at all. The app contains no code that talks to a server, so your data has nowhere to go.
- Health access is read-only and limited to your daily step count. StepPet never writes to Apple Health and reads no other metric.
- Works without permission. Decline Health access and the app still runs on daily check-in points alone.
- Everything stays local. Your pet's state lives on your device; deleting the app removes it all.
